Summer classes Learn about ancient spiritual traditions and energy work In the summer classes, you can learn about ancient spiritual traditions and energy work. In my practice and school, I have been working with these traditions for years with great pleasure and wonderful results. My intention is that everyone goes home full of inspiration and new insights after attending a class, and can immediately apply what they have learned at home. I teach all classes in small groups from my practice space.  A class costs 35 euros and lasts 2 hours. You can register via the  contact page . Did you enjoy the summer class? Then, if there is enough interest, it is possible to plan follow-up classes. Follow-up classes cost 30 euros for a monthly two-hour class, with a minimum of three people. Dreams according to Carl Jung: Valuable advice from your subconscious

Image
Carl Jung stated that the psyche has a self-regulating system. This self-regulating system helps people grow and stay healthy. If you believe that every person has a specific life path to follow, it’s good to know that we have a kind of inner compass that guides us back on track when we lose our way. (Who is Carl Jung? Read about him here:  www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Jung ) When we get stuck in daily life due to certain patterns or complexes, it hinders our growth. And we fail to reach our life’s destiny.  According to Jung, growth means getting to know ourselves completely, from the inside out. And developing new aspects of ourselves. In psychoanalytic therapy, the therapist uses dreams, drawings, and active imagination to bring the images of the subconscious into focus.  When we can’t grow—perhaps because we don’t know how to handle a situation or can’t process our feelings—or when we can’t let go of something or someone. You find yourself repeating the same ...

Psychology then and now

Qigong Research Every week, I dedicate a day to researching Qigong. For now, this means recovering my password for the university library, which turns out to be not as easy as it seems, compiling a bibliography and, above all, reading a lot.  Reading Carl Jung’s work isn’t that easy; he doesn’t write for entertainment, but for fellow professionals. As a psychologist, I am indeed a fellow professional, but I’m reading his work in a very different era, one in which psychology no longer consists solely of a few schools of thought, such as psychoanalysis and a number of related approaches. Psychology today consists of a wide variety of ideas, perspectives, and theoretical frameworks. The concepts themselves have also changed over time.  And what I personally find very unfortunate is that a bit of spirituality and creativity has disappeared. Since the invention of the computer, we can measure just about anything, and psychology has shifted toward a measurable discipline rath...

Qigong and energy healing: a golden combination for managing and overcoming (high) sensitivity and burnout

Image
If you’re sensitive person, maybe highly sensitive, or have a nervous system that’s easily overwhelmed, or if you’re experiencing burnout. Whatever name you it has. The symptoms are the same: you can feel quickly overwhelmed, overstimulated, and restless. You feel that you need a lot of rest. You don’t handle busy environments very well. Sometimes too much light, noise, or radiation is just too much. In my practice, I often help people with these kinds of issues. Energy healing and Qigong exercises, in particular, make a great combination. I teach people how to take good care of their own energy system so it doesn’t get overloaded all the time. Together, we figure out which exercises and methods are best suited to the specific complaints you experience. No two people are alike, so complaints, causes, and approaches differ for one person to the other. My treatment approach is based on cognitive behavioral psychology, meditation, Qigong exercises (Qi work), and working with the chakras. ...
